What you will study
The online component develops the knowledge needed to prepare for role-specific simulation and supervised clinical training. Surgeons and assisting surgeons share the theoretical foundation; practical responsibilities, supervision and privileges are determined separately.
- Explain robotic principles, motion scaling, remote center of motion and console ergonomics.
- Identify the MP1000 system components, controls, patient cart and vision system.
- Describe patient preparation, port-planning concepts, docking and sterile workflow.
- Understand team roles, progression requirements and the limits of educational completion.

Program purpose and training pathway; orientation to the Academy; Introduction & Overview, including purpose of training, introduction to robotic surgery, and indications and contraindications. This is a curriculum synopsis, not a public lesson preview.
Foundations and platform knowledge
History and evolution; robotics fundamentals; platform architectures; system overview and components; console layout, foot controls and saved profiles.
Patient-side workflow
Patient cart architecture, guided docking and arm controls; vision system; patient preparation and remote center; sterile draping.
Program scope and ongoing content development
The broader curriculum also covers safety, instruments and energy, operating-room workflow, troubleshooting, reprocessing and expert sessions. Some modules and lessons are still in preparation. Published lessons and progression requirements are displayed in the classroom; contact the Academy before enrolling if a particular topic is essential to your plans.
Your training pathway
I — Online foundation → II — Simulation & Dry Lab → III — Role-specific supervised training (III-A: bedside / assisting surgeon; III-B: console / surgeon) → IV — Clinical progression with mentorship.
Enrollment here purchases the online component. Practical phases, clinical opportunities and hospital-based mentorship depend on a separately defined scope, institutional approval, faculty and facility availability, and applicable fees.
What tuition covers
Online educational access, with academic mentorship, progress review and administrative coordination as described in the enrollment agreement. In-person simulator training, Dry Lab, bedside and console participation, proctorship, travel, accommodation and hospital fees are not included in this online tuition.
The agreement sets a twelve-month completion deadline for the online component from enrollment. Practical activities follow their own scheduling and agreements. Continued classroom access does not extend that deadline. Extensions require a formal written request and administrative approval.

- Education does not grant clinical competency certification, independent-practice authorization or hospital privileges.
- Training-site placement and practical-phase availability are not guaranteed.
- Enrollment is non-transferable. Refunds and deferrals are governed by the agreement below.
